Week Five

Hold the ball

The foot position and weight distribution between the feet do not change.  The right hand is brought up to the waist with the palm up and the left hand is rotated so the palm is facing down and you are holding the ball. The motion of both hands should end at the same time.

Double ward off

Let the weight shift completely to the left foot as the heal of the right foot is lifted off the ground (the toe of the right foot remains on the ground).   Then the toe of the right foot is lifted off the ground and the heal of the right foot is place in the same spot that the toe was.  The feet should now be at right angles to each other.  Then the weight is shifted, the waist is turned, and the left hand is lifted as in the "Week Three" ward off, but the right hand isn't placed at the side.  Instead, the right hand is lifted with the left hand, palms facing each other, at chest height.

Roll back

The waist is turned left slightly as the left arm is brought up (the elbow is left in about the same potion).  The right hand is lowered and rotated clockwise. It comes to rest with the fingers pointing at and a few inches from the left elbow, the right palm is facing the chest.
