Week Eight

Single Whip

The left foot is lifted and placed back and out, pointing left of the right foot.   The weight is then shifted to the left foot as the waist is turned and the left hand is brought up and around so as to end up above the left knee with the palm facing down.

Raise Hand

The weight is shifted to the right foot just long enough to rotate the left foot about 45 degree to the right, then the weight is shifted back to the left foot.  The right foot is then lifted up and moved right placing the toe (the heel stays off the ground slightly) in line with the heel of the left foot.  At the same time, the palms are turned toward each other and hands should come to rest with the right hand at eye level and the left along side the left forearm.  The foot and hand movements should end at the same time.
